Khaya black charcoal is produced from khaya tree trunks, a type of hardwood that is dense, strong, and high in carbon content, through a controlled high-temperature carbonization process. As a result, the finished charcoal delivers strong heat output, burns steadily, and retains heat consistently, helping food cook evenly or effectively meeting continuous-use demands in production.
Khaya wood is sourced from plantation forests in Vietnam. Khaya grows well under various climatic conditions and has been cultivated for many years in many localities, creating a stable and easily controlled raw material supply for charcoal production.
The production process is carried out at facilities with many years of experience and a deep understanding of khaya wood characteristics, ensuring uniform and consistent quality of the finished charcoal. Using khaya wood from plantation forests also helps reduce pressure on natural forests, contributing to a sustainable and environmentally friendly raw material source.
Step 1: Wood Selection
We hold a distinct advantage thanks to our in-depth understanding of forest plantation regions across Vietnam. Through our extensive partner network, we have precise knowledge of wood species, quality characteristics specific to each area, optimal harvesting periods, and stable yield capacity. This allows us to consistently procure the right types of wood suited for charcoal production while maintaining a continuous and reliable supply for export markets.
Step 2: Harvesting
The timber is cut in accordance with proper specifications and undergoes strict selection to ensure that only the highest-quality logs are used for carbonization. With premium raw materials, we guarantee that the finished charcoal achieves high durability, low ash content, and consistent performance throughout use.
Step 3: Charcoal Production Network
We take pride in our extensive network of over 500 affiliated carbonization facilities spanning from the North to the South of Vietnam. This nationwide presence allows us to allocate raw wood directly to the nearest suitable kiln, optimizing both transportation costs and production time. These efficiencies form the foundation of our commitment to delivering charcoal products at the most competitive prices in the market.
Step 4: Charcoal Carbonization Process
The wood is stacked inside the kiln in tightly packed rows, filled all the way to the top to ensure proper density.
The carbonization process runs continuously through multiple phases at temperatures ranging from 500 - 700°C, typically lasting 30 to 45 days, depending on the wood species and its moisture content. Operating the kiln requires extensive hands-on experience, as even minor deviations in timing, temperature, or oxygen levels can immediately affect the charcoal quality. With our skilled kiln operators, each production cycle can yield up to 25 tons of finished charcoal.
After carbonization is complete, the kiln is fully sealed and left to rest for an additional 10 to 15 days. During this stage, the charcoal undergoes natural cooling in an oxygen-free environment, allowing its structure to stabilize, minimizing cracking, and improving the thermal durability of the final product.
Step 5: Storage
The charcoal is stored in a strictly controlled environment with regulated temperature and airflow. Even minimal air exposure during this stage can cause the product to absorb moisture and ambient gases; therefore, we implement a fully enclosed storage protocol to maintain the stability and consistency of every batch.
Step 6: Packaging
Before shipment, the charcoal is cut and sieved according to the exact specifications required by the customer—from length, thickness, and diameter to overall product uniformity. Once the charcoal meets all standards, it is packed using specialized protective packaging to safeguard it from environmental impact and maintain quality throughout storage and transportation.
In addition, we offer private-label support by providing customized packaging and logo printing services to help customers build their own brand.
Step 7: International Transportation
Our competitive advantage is reinforced by a network of strategically located warehouses across Vietnam. This extensive presence provides our partners with flexible routing options, ensuring the most optimized freight rates and exceptionally fast delivery times.
Step 8: Customer Service
Beyond supplying products, we deliver a comprehensive and transparent service experience.
We are committed to:
To ensure maximum protection and complete peace of mind for our customers, we apply a clear and transparent product-return policy. We guarantee a 100% refund for any shipment with a damage rate exceeding 2%, in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the contract.
